Albert Lean Jack Adams, middle, received the 2011 Minnesota Deer Hunters Association’s Distinguished Service Award. It was presented to him on Feb. 26 at the 24th annual State Habitat Banquet in Grand Rapids. The award is presented annually to people who have exhibited outstanding conduct and dedication to MDHA and its mission, which is working for tomorrow’s wildlife and hunters today through education, habitat and legislation. Adams was recognized for his tireless work as a chapter steward for the Southern Gateway Chapter of the MDHA and his volunteer spirit and activity. -- Submitted photo
