Dale Elwood Budreau, 93, died Monday, March 21, 2011, at Prairie Manor in Blooming Prairie.
Dale was born on Oct. 11, 1917, to Emil and Alice (Atkins) Budreau in Kempster, Wis. where he grew up and attended school. His first wife, Ardell, died in 1971. On June 27, 1974, Dale married Marjorie Mealy in St. Paul.
An avid outdoors’ man, Dale enjoyed fishing, trapping and hunting, especially for ducks and geese. He could often be found in his garden for hours on end. Dale also enjoyed watching the Minnesota Twins.
Dale is survived by his wife, Marjorie Budreau of Hayfield; children: Mary (Gary) Mueller of Wausau, Wis., Jerry Budreau of Wausau, Wis. and daughter-in-law, Bonnie Budreau of Appleton, Wis.; stepchildren: Jim (Arlene) Mealy of Rochester, Lois (Chuck) Tangen of Motley and Denny Mealy of Hayfield; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; brother, Jack (Bernie) Budreau of Merrill, Wis.; sister, Donna (Robert) Grivicich of Marco Island, Fla. and many nieces and nephews
He is preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Ardell; son, Tom and daughter-in-law, Kathy Budreau.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 25, 2011, at Clasen-Jordan Mortuary Chapel with Father Joseph Fogal officiating. Interment will be in the St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery, Woodruff, Wis. Visitation will be on Friday at Clasen-Jordan Mortuary from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service.
