Here are highlights in history for March 25, gleaned from the files of the Albert Lea Tribune:
1989 — Lutheran Social Services moved into its new office at 326 S, Broadway Ave. Greg Nelson and Ellen Saul were the counselors and Rosalie Rasmussen was the secretary.
1979 — Tribune columnist Maude Kovenig explained that “a swamp is a wet, wooded area and a marsh is a wet, treeless area.”
1969 — A group of nearly 200 teenagers went to an Albert Lea City Council meeting to request $4,500 funding for the Community Center and Dug Out.
