He was married to his beloved, the late June Peterson Morrison, for 67 years. June and MT had three sons, John (Susan), Michael (Stacy) and Toby (Lynda). MT was blessed with seven grandchildren, John, Jr., Julie, Jeanne, Mary, Paul, Andrew and Sara; and 16 grandchildren, Megan, Matthew, Katie, David, Merritt, Sam, Jillian, Tanner, Bayley, Sophie, Jack, Teddy, Alexa, Connor, Annika and Carina.

MT was devoted to his family and always managed to remember everyone’s birthdays with a $5 bill included. MT kept track of all the kids and was so proud when we all gathered for his 100 birthday! He also is survived by two brothers, Bob (Bernice) and Bill (Pearl). We are all blessed with cherished memories. We will all miss his amazing spirit, his cribbage games, his stories, his smile and laughter. A special thank you to his caregiver, Sylvia, for her kindness and care the past ten years.

A service is planned for a future date. Memorials may be sent to Christ Episcopal Church, 204 W. Fountain St. in Albert Lea.

In addition to his family, MT had a deep love for his church. He was proud of his service to Christ Episcopal Church, with over 75 years as a Trustee. All of us will dearly miss MT’s grace whenever we gathered.

“O Lord, support us all day long until the shadows lengthen, and the evening comes, and the busy world is hushed, and the fever of life is over and our work is done. Then in thy mercy grant us a safe lodging, a holy rest, and peace at last. Amen.”

Celebration of his life will be at 1 p.m. May 4 at Christ Episcopal Church in Albert Lea with the Rev. Henry Doyle presiding. Interment will be at a later date at Greenwood Cemetery in Glenville.
