Semi loses trailer, blocks highway
Southbound traffic was blocked on Minnesota Highway 13 near Freeborn County Road 95, south of Hartland, for about an hour Monday morning after a semi lost its trailer and blocked the highway.
Assault, damage reported at Hayward home
The Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a fire alarm damaged by a resident at the Hayward Group Home, 80880 Freeborn County Road 46, at 12:45 p.m. Monday.
Dispatchers received a report at 8:44 p.m. Monday of a 12-year-old who allegedly was assaulted at the group home. A citation was expected to be issued.
Vehicle damaged
A vehicle was reported keyed while parked in the Walmart parking lot, 1550 Blake Ave., at 11:09 a.m. Monday.
Gas drive-off reported
A gas drive-off was reported at 4:38 p.m. Monday at the Shell station at 2222 E. Main St. in Albert Lea. Reports stated $48.20 in gas was taken.
Window damaged by BB
Albert Lea police received a report of a BB that was shot through a window at 1203 Birch Hill Drive in Albert Lea.
Man cited for conduct
Police cited Dak Turuk Rundial, 41, for disorderly conduct and carrying a firearm while intoxicated at 10:33 p.m. Monday at 133 W. William St. in Albert Lea.
Items missing from job site
Items were reported missing from a job site at 84493 180th St., southeast of Hayward, at 5:46 p.m. Monday.
1 arrested for drunken driving
Freeborn County sheriff’s deputies arrested Lachelle Ann Johnson for third-degree driving while intoxicated after a traffic stop at 1:28 a.m. Sunday at 505 W. Front St. in Albert Lea
Minivan reported stolen
A blue Chrysler Town & Country van was reported missing from 1906 S.E. Marshall St. in Albert Lea at 10:45 a.m. Sunday, police stated.
Men attempt to steal culvert, then flee
The Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office received a report at 4:13 p.m. Friday of two men acting suspicious at 73538 315th St. in Hartland. The report stated the two men were attempting to take a steel culvert belonging to the caller, and when the caller approached them, they left in a red Volkswagen.
Trash illegally dumped
Mail was reported illegally dumped in a ditch near 65131 330th St. at 4:03 p.m. Sunday. The address is the cemetery south of Trenton Lake.
Purse stolen
A purse was reported stolen from an apartment at 627 Water St. in Albert Lea at 2:08 a.m. Sunday.
Man cited for paraphernalia
Freeborn County sheriff’s deputies cited Jonathan Jay Waalkens, 18, with possession of drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop at 12:56 a.m. Saturday near the intersection of South Newton Avenue and East Second Street in Albert Lea.
