BROOKLYN CENTER — The Minnesota State High School League has certified Rebekah Dahlman as the state’s career basketball scoring leader for both girls and boys.
Dahlman scored 5,060 points during her six years at Braham High School, from 2007-13.
Most media recognized Dahlman’s achievement after Braham’s appearance in the 2013 state girls basketball tournament, where the Bombers finished as runners-up. The league also recognized her with a game ball as the unofficial record holder.
Last April, league staff asked for documentation to substantiate Dahlman’s record. That documentation was not provided until this month. As a result, during the 2014 state girls basketball tournament Carlie Wagner of NRHEG was recognized by the league as the unofficial career scoring leader with her 3,982 points.
League staff is working to document Wagner’s career scoring.
