In the mood for spring, the Albert Lea Art Center will kick off its next art show today called “Birds, Buds & Blossoms.”
An open house is slated for 1 to 3 p.m. Admission is free to the public.
“If you want to get a taste of spring, here is the place to go,” said Art Center member Tom Mullen. After a long winter, he noted that the members have been eagerly awaiting warmer weather.
All Art Center members were invited to show their work related to the theme, Mullen said.
There will be between 15 and 20 artists with a combination of different media, including oil painting, water color and photography.
Many of the pieces hanging are of flowers and birds.
The show runs through May 9 and will be open to the public from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesdays through Fridays.
The Albert Lea Art Center is at 224 S. Broadway.
