Arboretum has multiple events planned

The Minnesota Landscape Arboretum has weekends full of events planned.

There will be a hosta and grasses sale from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday in the Arboretum’s gift store alcove.

The auxiliary spring plant sale will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 10 and 11 near the Margot Picnic Shelter area. The gate fee applies.

The Bud Break 5K and Daffodil Dash starts at 9 a.m. Sunday. Registration is $30 before May 2, and $35 the day of the race. The fee covers gate admission and a T-shirt. To register go to www.arboretum.umn.edu/budbreak.aspx.

National Public Gardens Day is May 9. The Arboretum will offer free admission all day. Guided garden walks will be offered at  10:30 and 11:30 a.m.

There will be a mother and daughter tea from 2:30 to 4 p.m. May 10 in the Snyder Building tea room. There will also be a spring tea from 2:30 to 4 p.m. May 14 in the same location.
