MINNEAPOLIS — A wall under construction at a south Minneapolis mall collapsed, but apparently no one has been injured.
Police on the scene said the wall on the third level of the two-story building collapsed onto the sidewalk below Tuesday morning. Wood debris was scattered around the Karmel Square Somali Mall.
The building and several structures around it were evacuated. Xcel Energy crews worked to restore power to the area.
Police spokesman Scott Seroka says a building inspector will determine the cause of the collapse.
