The Albert Lea Art Center’s Dorothy Godtland Lecture Series next topic will be “Passion of Ancestry & Heritage.”

Janet Hintenmeister is the scheduled speaker at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Albert Lea Art Center. Hintenmeister will speak about her experience with genealogy and about discerning fact from fiction in old family stories.

According to a press release, she inherited her interest in tracking down family history from her mother. She used lock-in sessions at the Freeborn County Historical Museum and numerous trips to the Family History Library in Salt Lake City and Mesa to find new genealogical clues to family members in her past.
