1992 — Albert Lea’s Company A, 1st Battalion, 135th Infantry National Guard unit was preparing to leave the city and go to Fort Irwin, Calif., for a three-week training session.
1982 — The 34-member Roger Tenney Chorale from Owatonna would be presenting a concert at Grace Lutheran Church on April 12.
1972 — Randy Farris, Dana Lee and Alan Witmer built a pyramid of 2,152 snowballs that stood three and a half feet high.
