Rachel Friedman of Albert Lea received a $1,500 Royce and Janice Sanner Endowed Scholarship from the Minnesota State University Moorhead School of Teaching and Learning. Friedman is the child of Steve and Betty Friedman.

Grace Thomas, originally from Albert Lea, graduated May 10 from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with distinction and honors as an English major and computer science minor. Grace has a scholarship to attend Indiana University starting in the fall for a dual master’s program in library and information science.

Katelyn Walechka, originally from Albert Lea, graduated May 16 from Minnesota State University Moorhead with a Bachelor of Arts in film production.
