Albert Lea High grad named professor

Kristi M. Westover has recently been promoted to professor of biology at Winthrop University in Rock Hill, S.C. Kristi is a 1986 graduate of Albert Lea High School. She received a bachelor of arts in biology from Hamline University in St. Paul in 1990, and a Ph.D. in Botany from Washington State University in Pullman, Wash., in 1995. She completed research fellowships at Duke University in Durham, N.C., and the University of South Carolina in Columbia, S.C., before joining the faculty at Winthrop University in 2001. Kristi resides with her husband and children in Rock Hill. She is the daughter of Bob and Dolly Lindeman of Albert Lea.
