“The Freeborn County Humane Society would like to thank everyone who participated in the fundraising event at Ranch & Pet Supply on May 17. It was a huge success! There were close to $2,800 raised for the humane society. This money will be put to good used to benefit the animals of Freeborn County.
The event kicked off with the 5-kilometer walk, which started at 9 a.m. There were approximately 90 walkers who participated with their four-legged friends. It was fun to see all of the animals, many of which were adopted through the Humane Society, and to also meet many of the other dogs and walkers who came to support us.
After the walk, there were many games to play for prizes and lots of vendors from several pet care companies who had samples of their products to hand out.
The Great American Hot Dog Wagon was also there to support us.
We would like to thank all the sponsors, participants and the many vendors who came to help make this fundraiser a huge success.
We also want to say a huge thank you to Michelle Nelson of Ranch & Pet Supply for organizing and holding this event for us. It is greatly appreciated! We look forward to many more annual walks.”
