I just want to say thank you to the Albert Lea City Council and administration and everyone who supported a bike lane on Front Street. We moved recently and I drive to work along Front Street every day now. I’ve been so happy to see it being used by all ages — children going to school or the park, people going to work. I even saw a man hauling his groceries home.

Sometimes we take for granted that everyone has access to motorized transportation. It is certainly not the case in our community. We should all be thankful for our local smart transit system through Cedar Valley Services, and also for the leadership at our city to approve this bike lane. I hope to see more in the future!
