PM Report: Man arrested for allegedly pulling gun

Albert Lea police arrested a man June 6 who allegedly pulled a gun on a neighbor who had asked him to turn down his music.

Robert Lee Delangel, 20, was arrested at 525 Triangle Drive for terroristic threats and second-degree assault. A police report states the man had loud music blaring from his white Land Rover. A neighbor went to the vehicle and asked Delangel to turn it down. Allegedly, Delangel pulled a gun from the back of the Land Rover.

The incident was reported shortly after midnight.

Clarks Grove sees a night of crimes

CLARKS GROVE — A string of crimes in Clarks Grove were reported Tuesday morning to the Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office.

Items were reported stolen from a Chevrolet Camaro at 306 Hillcrest Circle N. A Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office report said the car was rummaged through sometime overnight and property was missing.

A man reported Tuesday morning that an ATV was stolen during the night. The reporting address was 105 Main St. W. in Clarks Grove.

There was a report of a motor that had been tampered with at 107 Main St. W.

 

House near Emmons shot

EMMONS — Criminal damage was reported the morning of June 8 at 10451 625th Ave. near Emmons.

A Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office report states “neighbor kids were shooting on Friday and he has a slug in his house.” A deputy spoke with the parents, and they offered to pay for the house repairs.

 

Thefts reported in past week

A caller at 66633 160th St., Alden, informed the Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office on June 9 of property taken from the residence while he was away.

An iPad was reported June 8 as stolen from an unlocked vehicle the previous night at a home on Margaretha Avenue in Albert Lea.

Someone broke into the house at 204 S. Pearl St. in Albert Lea on June 8 and, according to reports, stole a PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, video games, two electronic tablets, a Samsung Galaxy S4 and a ring.

The Freeborn County Co-op gas station at 1820 Margaretha Ave. in Albert Lea reported a gas drive-off June 5. The report states the subject a man intentionally left the pump running when he departed.

There was a report of a theft Monday at 604 Water St. in Albert Lea.

 

Woman arrested on warrants

An Albert Lea woman was arrested Wednesday night when police executed warrants for her arrest.

Abby Lee Tripp, 33, was arrested at 625 Sheridan St. for second-degree burglary and theft. A police report says she was additionally charged with fifth-degree possession of methamphetamine and with fleeing an officer on foot.

 

Graffiti found in park

A building at Morin Park was found by Albert Lea police Wednesday night to have been tagged with the word “South” in silver spray paint.

 

Water turned on at vacant rental home

Criminal damage was reported Tuesday at 1441 Margaretha Ave. in Albert Lea. An Albert Lea police report states the landlord Ron Hansen said after renters moved out neighborhood children entered the house and turned the water on, letting it run over. The landlord and the guardian of a child in the case would work matters out, the police report says.

 

Arrests made for drunken driving

Albert Lea police arrested a 55-year-old man Monday night for fourth-degree driving while intoxicated.

Ruben Hernandez Ruiz was discovered by police as the driver of a motor vehicle that, according to reports, had hit a car and left, then was “driving into everything” and eventually pulled into a house near the Garfield Avenue and Main Street Kwik Trip.

Albert Lea police arrested Mona Kristine Tusen, 64, on June 6 for fourth-degree driving while intoxicated and cited for third-degree refusal. Witnesses stated they saw her leaving a parking lot intoxicated. The arrest was made near Jake’s Pizza, according to police.

Freeborn County sheriff’s deputies arrested two men following a fight in a car with four people inside. The car ended up in a ditch near 68160 State Line Road in the Emmons area.

Jordan Madison Rosamond, 23, was cited with fourth-degree driving while intoxicated and Cesar Alejandro Hinostroza, 22, was city for a possessing a controlled substance and for possessing paraphernalia. The car was towed to Allen’s Tow-N-Travel.

 

2 cited for breaking laws

Albert Lea police on June 7 cited two young adults near Albert Lea City Hall for possession and consumption.

Joel Michael Johnson, 19, and Sierra Mari Nelson, 18, were cited for underage consumption of alcohol and possession of drug paraphernalia. Nelson also was cited for possession of a small amount of a controlled substance.

 

Warning given for nudity

A Freeborn County sheriff’s deputy gave a warning for nudity early June 9 in the midnight hour at Pickerel Lake County Park.

 

Suspected burglars had Clarks Grove tie

A Kearney, Neb., police officer caught two suspected burglars, Brittany Schroeder, 23, and Joshua Stein, 24, who allegedly had deposit slips from a Clarks Grove business. A Freeborn County sheriff’s deputy assisted in the investigation on June 6.

 

Wedding ring found at beach

Albert Lea police responded to a report of a man’s silver wedding band found in the sand at City Beach on Monday.

 

Dog struck by vehicle

There was a report of a dog being runover Monday and the driver kept going at South Broadway and East Front Street. The reporting party gave police a license plate number and followed the vehicle south on Broadway. The report didn’t say whether the driver was apprehended.
