One of these photos is of a strange rock with facial features and an oversized upper head. Bergie’s notes say this odd rock or stone was found in a field north of Albert Lea by a boy in 1938.
There could be a real mystery as to the size of this natural phenomenon. However, the presence of the display case somewhat answers one potential question. Yet, there are several other questions worth considering. First, who found this rock or stone? Second, where is it now?

According to Bergie’s notation, this photo of a young boy and girl is based on clothing fashions of the early 1920s. That is emphasized with short pants and fancy jacket on the boy and the blouse with tie on the girl. Anyway, the photo justifies several questions.
Are these two youngsters brother and sister? Do these clothes represent “dress-up” fashions of that era for spring and/or Easter Sunday? And just what are their names?

There are several details on this photo worth emphasizing. One is the wood flooring for what appears to be a home’s back porch and entry. Also, the two doors so close together is a somewhat unusual feature. The third, mentioned in Bergie’s notes, are the “fly chasers” attached to the screen doors and indicated with added arrows. By the way did those fly chaser strips really work?
What appears to be a morning family or neighborhood coffee break justifies several questions. Just who are these three women and about when was this photo taken? As a bonus question, where was this home located?

Local historian Bergie had this street scene in his collection from the past with just two words and question marks. One is 1916? The other is Ellendale?
