Here are highlights in history for April 4, gleaned from the files of the Albert Lea Tribune:
1987 — A Tribune ad confirmed that Albert Lea had an eating place specializing in sea food. It was the Sea House Restaurant, located next to Skyline Liquor.
1977 — Ladies Nite at the Broadway Twin Theatre (Monday evening) was based on one dollar admission and use of the ticket stub for a free cup of coffee at Albert Lea’s Country Kitchen.
1937 — A play in the Czech (Bohemian) language was presented at the Brick Hall north of Myrtle. Presenting this play were members of the Z.C.B.J. lodge of New Prague.
