Here are highlights in history for April 6, gleaned from the files of the Albert Lea Tribune:

1989 — Students at Southwest Junior High School would be presenting the play, “You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown.”

1979 — Because of poor road conditions caused by high winds and blowing snow, the Minnesota State Patrol closed Interstate 35 north of Albert Lea.

1939 — A public meeting was held at the Freeborn County Courthouse to discuss the building of a National Guard Armory in Albert Lea.
