Kindler looks into citizen complaints

I am writing this for the response so many people ask. I’ve been asked why they don’t see the sheriff on the news like previous sheriffs.
This sheriff doesn’t look to be in the limelight. Work comes first. Sheriff Bob Kindler spends more time working and working for a better community than any of the other five sheriffs I have seen in my 20 years of law enforcement. It comes down to his key words that he is running on: experience, education, ethics, effective.
I’ve been asked about the turmoil in the department. Sheriff Kindler investigates citizens’ complaints. Some officers are upset about being held accountable for their actions. The other candidates want you to believe their false accusations against Sheriff Kindler. They do this to take away from the facts of being investigated from numerous citizens’ complaints and the inability to be promoted by current and previous sheriffs. I question how the other candidates will continue in public service after they have ruined their integrity.
Sheriff Kindler vows to run a clean campaign and this letter is not approved by the sheriff. It can be hard to find the truth and to tell it. However I encourage you to look on the Internet or to call the different department heads to ask your questions on the things that are said. You can find the truth about the candidates. I ask that the few civil servants who don’t support Sheriff Kindler to stop blaming him and look at what they can do to improve themselves.
Ask yourself why they want to be the sheriff; arrogance is not a good trait for sheriff. Sheriff Kindler has made huge strides in improving the integrity of the deputies who work for Freeborn County. I don’t want to see the Sheriff’s Office or my profession to go backward. Sheriff Kindler not only listens to the people but takes actions to better the community.
Yes, Sheriff Kindler is my boss, and I consider him a friend. Who wouldn’t want a friend who is honest and has integrity? Come to the sheriff’s debate on Aug. 6 at Albert Lea City Hall. It’s open to the public. Ask questions and make an informed decision. Vote in the primary on Aug. 12 for the sheriff who would have the best interest in you and not themselves. Vote, and re-elect Sheriff Kindler.
