BROOKLYN CENTER — Police in a Twin Cities suburb are asking for help in locating a missing teenager and her baby who needs anti-seizure medication.
Authorities in Brooklyn Center said both the 17-year-old and the baby are wards of the state and that the teen mother took her 9-month-old daughter from a foster home. Brooklyn Center Police Cmdr. Brian Peters said the baby’s life is in danger if she doesn’t get her medication.
Police believe the two may be with the teen’s father, who has previously been charged with assaulting her. Peters said the father poses a safety risk to both his daughter and granddaughter.
The three may be hitchhiking to Florida or Georgia.
