Marvel was born July 14, 1931, to John and Florence (Meyer) Schuster in Easton. She was united in marriage to Louis Staloch June 12, 1951. Marvel was the postmaster in Easton for 30 years and a member of the Minnesota League of Postmasters. She looked forward to working at the state fair for 25 years. She also worked as a waitress at the Easton Legion with Louie, and delivered flowers for Dick’s Flower Service on special occasions. Marvel enjoyed being a softball coach for the Easton Summer Softball Program for over 10 years. She was a 62-year member of the American Legion Auxiliary and a lifelong member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, where she was an active member of the CCW and was a communion minister.
Marvel enjoyed doing tillage work in the field in spring and fall, loved her flowers, feeding her birds and mowing the lawn. She was a diehard Twins and Vikings fan. She also looked forward to visiting with her friends at the library every Tuesday. Marvel was a very loving and generous person and loved living her life to the fullest with a smile on her face, always bringing happiness to others. She attended every single sporting and school event that her children and grandchildren participated in over the past 30 years, and also enjoyed shopping with her granddaughters. Marvel was very proud of her entire family. She lived her life of faith, and she and Louis were wonderful role models of marriage for their family.
