Wolverines rally to win opener 5-3

GLENVILLE — Trailing 3-0 going into the bottom of the fourth inning Thursday, the Glenville-Emmons baseball team rallied to beat Hope Lutheran 5-3 in Glenville.

The Wolverines’ Trent Thoms went 2-for-3 with a double, and Peter Hansen and Zack Williamson each recorded an RBI.

The Wolverines’ starting pitcher Spencer Kral struck out nine over seven innings and scattered two hits.

“We came out and underestimated (Hope Lutheran),” Wolverines coach Louie Toulouse said. “But it’s good to get the first win and good to be playing outside.”

The Wolverines play again today at 4:30 p.m. at Houston.
