‘Diabetes and Dentistry’ set for Sept. 15

A free program, “Diabetes and Dentistry,” is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Sept. 15 at Freeborn County Historical Museum, 1031 Bridge Ave., Albert Lea.
Diabetes can affect your oral health. Dr. Rachel Nolander-Poppel, D.D.S., and Gala Kubat, diabetes educator at Mayo Clinic Health System, will share specifics on how to keep your teeth and mouth healthy when diabetes is a factor. The program will cover:
• What does having diabetes mean for your oral health?
• What you can do to help prevent dental disease increased by diabetes?
• Extra insurance benefits people with diabetes need to know about and use.
