Kayla Hartmann, a sophomore environmental science major from Albert Lea, will perform with the Buena Vista University concert choir as they present music from their spring tour on at 3 p.m. today in Schaller Memorial Chapel on the campus of BVU. The choir’s spring tour included performances in the Sioux City, Omaha and Kansas City areas.
The program includes new repertoire including a Finnish selection called El Hambo by Jaakko Mantyjarvi; Sanctus by Ola Gjeilo; and a new arrangement of Ave Verum by Philip Stopford.
The concert is free of charge and is open to the public. A reception for family, friends and guests will be held in the Harold Walter Siebens Forum following the event. Director for the BVU choirs is Dr. Paula Keeler and accompanist is Deanna Larson.
