Economy grows under Democrats

This letter is in answer to David Anderson from Lonsdale’s letter on Aug. 26 headed “Facts are facts despite opinions.” This was the second letter in which Dave has blasted me. His first was on June 6 headed “Democrats have to blame themselves.” Dave was talking about how bad it is to live in Minnesota under Democratic Party rule. In my letter on Aug. 8 headed “Wisconsin is run by Republicans,” I suggested he move to Wisconsin.
The Republicans have ruined Wisconsin. It has been all over the news on how they have done everything they can think of to bust the unions in their state and the state is suffering. Now let’s look what PolitiFacts has accepted as facts from 1961 to 2012. The Republicans created 24 million private sector jobs. The Democrats created 42 million private sector jobs.
Under Nixon, Reagan and Bush, the average annual economy growth rate was 2.54 percent. Under Kennedy, Clinton and Obama the average annual economy growth was 4.35 percent. The Republicans are always campaigning for lower taxes and little regulation to unleash economic growth.
Dave, why does the country do better under Democratic presidents than Republican ones? Why are the poorest states in the U.S. run by Republicans? Nine out of 10 of the poorest states are run by the Republicans. These are all facts accepted by PolitiFacts. There are some people in the middle class and the Average Joe that actually believe that when a Republican talks about reducing taxes that they actually believe they are talking to them. The only people the Republicans care about are the filthy rich and the top 1 percent. Common sense tells you if you give welfare to the rich it just goes in their bank account and does nothing to stimulate the economy. But give it to a less-fortunate person they will spend it and stimulate the economy.
Dave, I have several far-right Republican pinheads here in Albert Lea I have been trying to educate. I will be happy to add your name to the list. I am the most hated person in Albert Lea by these far-right Republican pinheads. I suppose I am big enough to take in the town of Lonsdale, also.
