Albert Lea wins 3rd straight game

The Albert Lea girls’ soccer team won its third straight game with a 6-1 victory Thursday at Red Wing.
The Tigers led 4-0 at halftime. Taylor Thompson scored Albert Lea’s first three goals within the first 12 minutes. Megan Kortan added another goal before halftime, and Becca Dup scored twice in the second half.
In the goal, Alexa Wood led Albert Lea with three saves, while Kathryn Flaherty had two.
Next, the Tigers (4-1-1 overall, 4-1 Big Nine Conference) will host a tournament at 10 a.m. Saturday.
