Rebels win rematch at Truman

After sweeping Truman at its home tournament on Saturday, the United South Central volleyball team swept the Bluejays again on Monday.
“It feels good to get the win, and we’re playing the game like we know how to play,” said USC coach Amy Anderson.
The Rebels were led by Anissa Janzig at the net. She had 23 kills, seven blocks, two assists, two ace serves and a dig.
Lauren Allis added eight kills, four blocks and four assists.
Kendall Stenzel posted a team-highs in assists, 10, and ace serves, 4.
Alyssa Drescher led the Rebels’ back row with 12 digs.
“Alyssa is playing confidently in the libero position,” Anderson said.
Next, USC (3-8 overall, 1-2 Gopher Conference) will host Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial at 7:30 p.m. today.
The Knights (12-4 overall, 5-0 Valley Conference) are coming off a 2-0 loss at Sibley East.
In the Gopher Conference standings, the Rebels are fourth out of seven teams. Bethlehem Academy has the only perfect conference record (2-0) and is 12-2 overall.
