Bennett never said breakfast comment

I was at the same House 27A forum in July where Miles Pechacek said he heard Peggy Bennett say she was not in support of the free breakfast program for needy children. I don’t know what Mr. Pechacek was listening to, but that is definitely not what Peggy said. What I heard Peggy say very clearly was that she struggled with knowing there is a very real need for that program while at the same time understanding the value of families eating together. Peggy said that she would like to help strengthen families by lifting up the economics in our communities so less children would have the need for programs like that. She never said she was against the free breakfast program. Let’s stick with the facts here!
