Scholarship awarded

James W. Swenson has been awarded the $2,000 Sons of Norway scholarship.
The scholarship is awarded annually to a student who has completed two or more years of college and shows an interest in Scandinavian studies. The student must also maintain a 3.5 grade point average on a scale of 4.0.
James Swenson grew up in Albert Lea and attends Mankato State University. After completing his degree he has aspirations to get his CPA, CFA and MBA. He has expressed his appreciationto the Sons of Norway, stating colleges are fortunate to have the support of this organization in assisting worthy students in completing their major coursework.
