GENEVA — A benefit for cancer patient Peggy Sorenson will be from 3 to 7 p.m. on Saturday at the Geneva Community Center.
There will be dinner, live and silent auctions, raffles and a bake sale.
Peggy was diagnosed with stage IV inflammatory breast cancer on May 21.
After a PET test was done, Sorenson met with her doctor and was told she has four cancerous tumors throughout her body.
Sorenson is undergoing chemotherapy treatments which will be followed by another PET scan to show the results of the treatment. After chemotherapy, her next steps would be surgery and radiation.
All donations and proceeds from the benefit will go toward Sorenson’s medical expenses.
Donations may be sent to the Peggy Sorenson Benefit Fund at Commerce Bank, P.O. Box 149, Geneva, MN 56035.
