MINNEAPOLIS — The wife of Minnesota Vikings player Joe Senser is expected to be freed from work release and allowed to return home.
Amy Senser today can go home to Edina or another residence of her choosing, but will be on supervised release until her sentence for criminal vehicular homicide expires in December 2015. The 48-year-old Senser has completed six months of work release at an undisclosed location.
Senser was sent to prison for the 2011 hit-and-run death of 38-year-old Anousone Phanthavong on a dark freeway ramp in Minneapolis. Senser told investigators she left the scene because she believed she struck a construction cone or barrel.
Senser will not have a driver’s license for about five more years and will be subject to random drug and alcohol tests.
