Do you trust government?

America faces many dangers today but what the average citizen does not understand is that the greatest threat to our freedom is the government.

One of most serious issues we face as American’s is the uncontrolled growth in size and power of America’s governmental agencies.

Do you really trust the IRS to oversee your health care?

Do you believe the ATF when they say Fast and Furious was conducted by a few rogue agents?

Does the EPA have the worlds best interests at heart when they implement regulations intended to close all coal-burning power plants in this country, yet allow massive amounts of coal to be exported to countries whose power plants produce far more pollution than ours?

The earth is a closed system; pollution anywhere affects everyone.

Do you trust the State Department to safeguard our diplomats and the country’s best interests after Benghazi?

When Health and Human Services tell you Obamacare will improve the quality and lower the cost of health care, do you believe them?

Are you safer with thousands of trains pulling tankers full of oil through our cities and towns than allowing a pipeline to be built?

Are you a hunter or gun enthusiast? Then you should understand that the only thing between your right to own firearms and the liberals’ goal of gun confiscation is the NRA and the GOP’s belief in the Second Amendment.

If you support gun rights and vote liberal, you are a fool.

Veterans are well aware of the problems getting health care. It is bureaucrats’ self interest that slows the system to a crawl.

The growing bureaucracy is not just a federal problem but also a problem at the state and local levels. Minnesota’s DNR through its application of rules and regulations is doing everything possible to make dredging our lakes so costly we give up.

I am beginning to doubt we will ever see Albert Lea Lake dredged. Perhaps Freeborn County should become a county in Iowa. The DNR in Iowa is highly supportive of dredging.

Most governmental agencies do not function to serve, but to rule by regulation. Watch Congressional hearings on
CSPAN. You will quickly understand that government agencies feel they do not answer to Congress.

Government employees are firmly in the liberal camp, bigger is better.

Freeborn County’s population is less today than it was 60 years ago. How many more staff members does it take to manage federal, state and county affairs today than it did in the past? I would like someone to compile these figures. I suspect that there are three to five times more employees today than in 1954. Most of the increase is result of federal regulations.

Both political parties must accept blame for the continual growth of our governments bureaucratic agencies. However, progressive liberals believe big government is the answer for every problem.

The middle class is lost ground.  America is losing its hard won freedoms one by one.

America is has become a welfare, socialist state.
