10-year outlook is not trackable

Why does government always want to look at savings as over 10 years, when business always looks at it as 12 to 24 months?
I think you will find that this is because business wants to track the actual benefit of the expenditure and directly measure the results. When you spend your own money you are careful to make sure you get what you paid for.
Government is also spending your money, but they do not want to be responsible for doing what they promise. It is virtually impossible to have accurate tracking past 36 to 48 months; therefore, they never have to be responsible!
What we must demand is government spend our money and be totally responsible for the tracking and results.
Let us stop the big promise!
