Savick fights for workers

I am writing to thank Rep. Shannon Savick for her work and her votes helping working families in District 27A.
She supported and voted to raise the minimum wage, the first raise in almost 10 years. This means that 357,000 Minnesotans finally got a badly needed raise.
Minnesota added more than 50,000 jobs since 2012 outpacing nearby states such as Wisconsin. The unemployment rate in Freeborn County dropped from 7.9 to 3.8 percent.
She voted for a middle-class tax cut worth $49 million.
She voted for all-day kindergarten, helping many more children get off to a good start in school. She voted for an increase in funding for grant programs to help older students to attend college.
We are lucky to have a pro-worker, pro-family representative working for us. She deserves to return to St. Paul next year, and deserves our vote Tuesday.
