Albert Lea Police Department officers Todd Deming and Brianna Lutz stand with Director of Public Safety. Dwaine Winkels. Lutz and Deming were presented with Life Saving Awards at Monday night’s City Council meeting. Both officers responded to a medical call where a patient was unresponsive. Upon arrival, the officers determined the patient was not breathing and didn’t have a pulse. They immediately administered life-saving CPR and assisted paramedics when they arrived on the scene. The patient was successfully revived and eventually returned home after a short hospital stay. This is Lutz’s and Deming’s second lifesaving award since joining the department less than two years ago. — Provided
