The Big Nine Conference girls’ swimming meet on Saturday at Rochester Mayo was the most recent example of how the team has improved.

Albert Lea won six of 12 events to edge Mankato West by nine points and take second place.
Lindsey Horejsi played a part in each record. She swam the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:02.59 to beat the previous record by 0.76 seconds. She swam the 200 individual medley in 2:05.30 to beat the record by 1.22 seconds.
Horejsi was also a part of the 200 medley and 200 freestyle teams that set conference records. The team of Andersen, Jensen, Bailey Sandon and Horejsi won the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:48.69 to beat the record by 0.29 seconds.
Aside from being part of the two record-setting relays, Andersen won her two other events. She edged Hannah Baratz of Rochester May by 0.30 seconds to win the 50 freestyle in 24.34 seconds.
