Concrete not good for runner’s legs

Regarding the Lakeview Boulevard upgrade: As a walker and runner, I am disappointed to hear they are putting in so much concrete on a multi-use trail. Concrete is the worst surface to run or walk on. Asphalt is less hard on legs and joints and would be better. Grass, dirt or gravel are the best — even a flat, narrow strip along side the harder surfaces, would help. It is great the improvements are being done — just would prefer a more user friendly alternative. Keep up the good work in improving Albert Lea’s trails!
