Funeral services for Jane Martha Hebert, 70, of Albert Lea will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. Theodore’s Catholic Church. The Rev. Timothy Reker and Deacon Mike Ellis will officiate.  Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church. Jane died Sunday, Nov. 16, 2014, at her home.

Jane Martha Hebert was born in Albert Lea on Aug. 18, 1944. She was the daughter of John and Evelyn (Onstad) Sipple. Jane graduated from Albert Lea High School in 1962.  She then attended the Rochester School Of Practical Nursing and then moved to Minneapolis where she was employed at St. Mary’s for five years.

In Minneapolis, Jane met her husband Don and they were married on April 12, 1969.  They later moved back to Albert Lea where they raised their four children. She was employed at Naeve Hospital and Albert Lea Medical Center for nearly 40 years. She worked at the hospital for 25 years and the last years for Home Health and Hospice.  Jane especially loved doing bereavement to help comfort family members after the death of loved ones. She conducted grief groups while she was employed and also worked as a volunteer doing grief groups for hospice after retirement.

She was a member of St. Theodore Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus Auxiliary and the American Legion Auxiliary. She loved playing cards with special friends, especially 500 and Hand & Foot, gardening and taking long walks.

Survivors include her husband, Don; children John (Katie) Hebert, Steven (Jessie) Hebert, Dan (Theresa) Hebert and Heidi (Neil) Smith; grandchildren Ethan, Micah, Jonas, Ezra, Grace, Zoe, Elias and Owen; siblings Marie (Bruce) Nargorske and Randy (Machelle) Sipple; and several nieces and nephews.

Jane was preceded in death by her parents.
