A warrant has been issued for one of the two men who aided in the stabbing of an Albert Lea man last summer after he failed to show up Monday for his sentencing in Freeborn County District Court.
It was the second time for Marcus Allen-Wayne Hallmark, 19, of Columbia Heights, to miss his sentencing for the crime. The first time he was reportedly arrested in another county and was in jail at the time the sentencing was scheduled.
Hallmark pleaded guilty in October to one count of third-degree aiding and abetting assault, causing substantial bodily harm.
According to court records, Hallmark and co-defendant David Joshua-John Skotte, 19, reportedly held down an Albert Lea man Aug. 8, 2010, while another man reportedly stabbed him on Columbus Avenue near the Johnson Street railroad crossing.
Skotte was sentenced earlier this month to community service and probation after giving the same plea.
