The Alden-Conger boys’ basketball team picked up a signature win Tuesday with a 59-50 home victory over Grand Meadow.
The last time the Knights beat the Superlarks was Jan. 4, 2011, and the last five meetings were each decided by more than 20 points.
However, Alden-Conger (8-6 overall, 1-4 Valley Conference) bucked the trend with strong performances throughout its lineup.
Eli Hallman led the Knights with 20 points and nine rebounds. Jacob Wallin posted 15 points and 19 rebounds. Colton Opsahl added seven points, eight rebounds, five assists and two steals.
Grand Meadow’s record dropped to 11-3.
