Jacob E. Herman, 40, of Rice Lake, Wisconsin, died Monday, Jan. 26, 2015, at his home.

He was born Dec. 10, 1974, in Albert Lea to Michael and Sharon (Aasen) Herman. Jacob attended school in St. Paul and Plymouth. He attended college at Normandale Community College and UW – BCC. He loved to work on computers and to play games on the computer. Jacob loved to read and collect stamps and baseball cards. He was a chess player and enjoyed card games.

Jacob Herman is survived by his father, Michael Herman, of Alden; mother, Sharon Aasen, of Rice Lake; a son, Michael Herman, of Virginia, Minnesota; maternal grandparents Paul and Lois Aasen of Rice Lake; and many uncles, aunts and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Edward and Frances Herman; and a sister, Heather Herman.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Appleyard’s Home for Funerals in Rice Lake. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at Appleyard’s Home for Funerals.

A private local service will be at a later date.
