- The Albert Lea varsity dance team took fourth place out of 12 teams in the high-kick AA category Jan. 24 at the Simley Dance Invitational. The JV high kick team placed second among six teams in the JV AA category in their final competition of the season. Team captains this season are Katelyn Hendrickson, Angie Schmitt and Samantha Nielsen. Coaches are Kelsey Routh, Megan Kromminga and Jennifer Anderson. The varsity high kick and varsity jazz teams competed at the Section 1AA tournament Saturday at Austin. — Provided
