17-year-old’s car went into ditch on icy roadway
A Lake Mills teenager was injured Saturday morning after a vehicle rollover on U.S. Highway 69 south of Twin Lakes.
Liah M. Naser, 17, was transported to St. Marys Hospital in Rochester, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. It is unclear whether she was flown to the hospital or if she was taken by ambulance. Her injuries were deemed not life-threatening, the report states.
Naser was reportedly driving a 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix northbound on Highway 69 at 10:02 a.m. Saturday when her automobile slid into the east ditch and rolled.
The roadway was listed as icy at the time of the crash.
Emmons First Responders, Twin Lakes Fire Department, Gold Cross Ambulance and Mayo One helicopter crews assisted at the scene.
No alcohol was detected, and Naser was wearing her seat belt.
