ST. PAUL — The Albert Lea wrestling team is headed to the state championship.

The Tigers beat Scott West 39-21 Thursday afternoon in the Class AA semifinals at the Xcel Center in St. Paul.

Scott West had Albert Lea on its heels early by winning the first two bouts, but the Tigers responded by winning nine of the next 11.
