In just three years, Joe and Mollee Tscholl met online, married, moved into a townhouse in Albert Lea and had two boys.

“A lot has happened in three short years,” Mollee Tscholl said.

“Yes, it has,” Joe Tscholl added with a laugh.

The two met in 2006 through eHarmony, and they married in March of 2007.

Joe and Mollee recently welcomed their second son, Seth, on July 22, and their oldest son, Andrew, is 15 months old.

Fitness is an integral part of the growing Tscholl family. Joe said it’s a good stress reliever to put Andrew in a stroller and go running. The two are now looking for a double stroller, and they already took Seth on his first walk Tuesday.

“We do a lot of walking, running, biking — we just like to be active. For us, it’s a lot of fun and a great release,” Mollee said.

“Especially when the weather’s nice,” Joe added.

Mollee used to substitute at Albert Lea High School, and she coached girls basketball, girls’ track and volleyball up until Andrew’s birth. She said she hopes to coach again after her children get older.

While they don’t have as much time now with children, Joe and Mollee like to go out to eat or attend concerts in the Twin Cities. The last concert they attended was Chris Tomlin for their anniversary.

“Right now, we just have two little tiny boys. It changes your life. We haven’t done as much as we probably would,” Mollee said.

Now much of their life is centered around their boys, and they often fly kites and play in the park, Joe said.

Joe described Mollee as having an easygoing personality, but he said she goes all out when challenged in something like sports. Mollee described Joe as someone who always has a smile on his face and has a high-energy, fun personality.

Joe and Mollee live in a townhouse on Hale Drive, but they said are planning to look for bigger home in which to raise their family.

Mollee, 33, grew up in Albert Lea. She received her bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Concordia, Moorhead, and she received her master’s degree in exercise training from St. Cloud State University.

Mollee works with her father, Craig Ludtke, and brother Marcus Ludtke at Poet Risk Management, part of Poet Biorefining, as a commodities trader. She moved back to Albert Lea about nine years ago.

Joe, 35, grew up near Buffalo and attended Minnesota State University, Mankato, and majored in business and recreation.

Joe is the general manager and a personal trainer at Snap Fitness.

“I do personal training, too. My biggest thing was to help people get motivated, have fun, laugh and just trust in God,” Joe said.

With both of the two working, raising two young boys could be challenging, but the two said their schedules work out so the boys will spend less time at day care. Joe often works at Snap Fitness in the evenings, and Mollee usually works early in the day.

Joe and Mollee attend First Lutheran Church, the church Mollee grew up attending. The two taught Sunday school before Andrew was born, and they said their faith is an important part of their family.

“Our faith is an integral part of our marriage and our family and our day-to-day lives,” Mollee said.

Joe said on many nights they turn off the television and listen to Christian music, often the radio station KTIS.

“A lot of time when we come home it’s family time. It’s turning the TV off and talking with each other and communication, and just being with our family — just laughing and playing,” Joe said.

Joe and Mollee said Albert Lea will be a good community to raise their family in, because it’s a safe, giving community where everyone knows each other.

“And you pretty much know everybody in town,” Joe said. “We’ll be out running and stuff and she’ll be like ‘Hey, George,’ ’Hey, Miles.’”
