Fifth-graders at Lakeview Elementary School in the citizenship committee coordinated a school coin drive to raise funds for the Freeborn County Humane Society. The committee collected more than $600 from staff and students at the school. Christa Stieler, director of the Freeborn County Humane Society, visited the school to accept the donation.
