Here are highlights in history for April 27, gleaned from the files of the Albert Lea Tribune:
1985 — A Tribune ad featured the Star Clipper Dinner Train that was making trips from Glenville to about Lyle and back for three hours each on the Cedar Valley Railroad.
1975 — The Albert Lea Community Theatre was presenting the play, “Seven Year Itch.” Starring roles were played by Jim Oliver and Renee Nordland. This play was directed by Bill Morris.
1945 — The Albert Lea High School tennis team defeated the Rochester Rockets with a 6-0 score.
