Parts business expanding in Manchester

MANCHESTER — For Jensales Inc., business is booming.
According to owner Paul Jensen, the business, which was established in 1989, got into producing and selling tractor manuals in 2000, and business has been increasing ever since.
Jensen said that part of the business has expanded from not only producing manuals to selling and wholesaling the actual parts that appear in the same manuals. He said the company has created a one-stop-shop for its customers, as they can browse through parts from multiple companies and suppliers instead of having to go to each business individually when browsing. Jensales has products from a number of different companies, including A&I Products — a subsidiary of John Deere — and Sparex — a subsidiary of AGCO.
“We’re better suited to get people their parts than most places,” Jensen said.
He said that customers’ ability to look up part numbers directly on the jensales.com website is instrumental in their easy product accessibility. The company offers around 140,000 different parts, from decals to seats and engine overhaul kits, to name a few.
Jensen said the company’s in the process of overhauling its website and putting all of those parts and products online. The business is expected to keep growing as more of the parts are put on the website.
According to Jensen, the increase in parts sales and the increase in manual sales are linked, as he thinks they go hand in hand. The increase in business has led him to hire three new employees in just the past six months, with Jensen now employing 12 different people at his Manchester-based company.
The boom in business has led the company to work with Coalition Technologies out of Los Angeles to optimize its website through different search engine optimization techniques.
Jensales’ manuals are available at amazon.com and its parts soon will be as well, in addition to being available on the site once it’s updated. The hopeful completion date for the updated website is sometime this summer. Jensen said the overall goal is to keep increasing the company’s online presence.
“We’re excited to be here,” he said. “And we’re excited to have new team members.”
