The Freeborn County Farm Bureau lost a member of their board of directors and a good friend, Keith Bjerke, according to a press release. In his memory they will offer the Keith Bjerke Memorial Scholarship to graduating seniors in 2015 who pursue an education in an agricultural or home economics related program. The applicant must either be enrolled in a Freeborn County high school or be a resident of Freeborn County, and must be accepted or in the process of acceptance to an accredited college or university. A letter of recommendation from someone other than a relative must accompany the application. A second scholarship will be awarded in memory of Ross Honsey.
